The technology behind Sentrick: Behavioral State Modeling (BSM)
Most monitoring systems are event-driven — they react to isolated sensor thresholds. Anima's approach is different. Our proprietary framework, Behavioral State Modeling (BSM), treats safety as behavioral evolution: it models how behavior changes over time and transitions through interpretable operational states, rather than firing on single events.
BSM is implemented by the Behavioral Intelligence & Evidence Engine (BIEE) — the engine at the core of every Sentrick product. BIEE continuously transforms multi-sensor observations into standardized behavioral states, accumulates supporting evidence, and enables explainable, autonomous decisions at the edge — even under limited or intermittent connectivity.
Two components make BIEE distinct:
Evidence Window Protocol (EWP)
Instead of firing an instant alarm, the engine opens a short window to gather additional context and allow a guardian or operator to intervene, before any autonomous action.
Five-State Behavioral Intelligence Model (FSBIM)
Behavior is represented as a clear, interpretable progression: Safe → Caution → Alert → Danger → SOS.
